
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Becky George finished in 65th place today in the women's race of the 2019 NCAA Division III cross country championships.
George, making her first national appearance, crossed the line with a time of 22:34.8 on the six kilometer course at Tom Sawyer Park. She was within 21 seconds of an All-American position as the top 40 finishers earn that honor.
George qualified for the NCAA Division III national meet with a sixth place finish at the Division III west region meet last weekend in Claremont, California. She was the Northwest Conference runner up.
Ithaca's Parley Hannan was the individual winner with a time of 20:53.8. John's Hopkins won the team title with 125 points, edging Washington University (St. Louis), which had 138.
