Pajimola Named First Team All-NWC

SPOKANE, Wash. – Whitworth sophomore Tiara Pajimola has been named to the 2013 All-Northwest Conference women's soccer First Team and three of her teammates received honorable mention consideration.  The NWC office released the All-NWC team today.

Players received recognition on the 2013 All-NWC Women's Soccer Team based on a vote of league coaches.

Pajimola scored seven goals and added one assist to lead the Pirates offensively this season.  She ranked seventh in the NWC in total goals scored.  Three of her goals were match-winners for Whitworth.

Jami Hegg, Hannah Langbehn and Andrea Stump received honorable mention consideration.  Hegg and Langbehn were defensive players for the Pirates.  Hegg was able to play forward from her outside back role to finish with three goals and one assist.  Langbehn, a center-back, was second on the team in total minutes played (1,892).  Stump, a goalkeeper, overcame injuries to post a 1.07 goals-against average with eight shutouts this season.

Whitworth finished 2013 with a final record of 7-7-6.  The Pirates were 4-4-6 in NWC matches.
