Emily Guthrie Leads Women's Golf In Lewiston Triangular

CLARKSTON, Wash. – Senior Emily Guthrie shot a 73 to lead the Whitworth women's golf team at the Lewiston Triangular at the Quail Ridge Golf Course on Saturday.

Emily Guthrie finished one stroke ahead of Lewis-Clark State College's Idah Whisenant and had the best round of the day.

Three freshmen joined Guthrie at the competition. Yvonne LaCoursiere shot an 86, Chelsea Bayley had an 88 and Cindy Tapia shot a 95.

Playing in a three-team event, the four golfers finished at 341 and came in behind Lewis-Clark State College at 311 and Whitman College at 315.

Next up for the Whitworth's women's golf team is an intersquad exhibition event at the Idaho Club in Sandpoint, Idaho.
