NWC Honors Redfern and Williams

SPOKANE, Wash. – Daniel Redfern and Cameron Williams have been honored by Northwest Conference men's tennis coaches with selection to the 2012 All-NWC Team.  Both have been named to the First Team.

Redfern is now a two-time First Team All-NWC honoree after transferring to Whitworth following two seasons at Skagit Valley College.  He went 13-6 overall and 8-4 against NWC opponents as the Pirates' #1 singles player this season.

Williams, a junior, is making his first appearance on the All-NWC squad.  He went 8-8 overall and 7-4 in the NWC as the #2 player on the Pirate' singles ladder.

Redfern and Williams have paired up 13 times as the #1 doubles team and posted a 6-7 record.  They were 5-3 in conference matches.

The pair of Pirates led Whitworth to an 11-8 overall record, 8-4 in the NWC.  The Bucs are the #4 seed heading into this weekend's conference tournament at Whitman.
