SPOKANE, Wash. – Four Whitworth Pirates earned All-Northwest Conference Men's Soccer honors, including one first team selection, according to the NWC's Tuesday afternoon announcement.

Kyle Cacoyannis was a first team choice as a midfielder after earning second team honors last season. Ty Cardinale earned a second team selection as a defender. Pirate goalkeeper Jesus Nunez and midfielder Ethan Kem were honorable mention choices.

Cacoyannis (Sr. – Santa Clara, Calif.) started every match of the season as Whitworth's holding midfielder. In addition to his excellent defense and leadership, Cacoyannis scored two goals for the Pirates and converted the only penalty kick he took.

Cardinale (Sr. – Cardiff, Calif.) played All-NWC defense at two positions in 2018. The senior began the year at outside back before moving inside to play center back halfway through the year. Cardinale started every match he played in this year.

Nunez (Jr. – Turlock, Calif.) maintained a .706 save percentage and 1.45 goals against average during NWC play. The junior earned NWC Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week honors twice this season.

Kem (So. – Renton, Wash.) finished NWC play with one goal and one assist after starting 13 of the Pirates' 14 NWC matches. He was the Bucs' primary free-kick specialist throughout the season.
