The Pirates improved to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in Northwest Conference action, posting their second consecutive shutout win. The Wildcats (5-3, 1-1 NWC) were held scoreless for the first time in 2015.
Berriman broke the scoreless tie with an unassisted goal in the 17th minute, winning a battle to gain possession from the Linfield goalkeeper near the left post and finishing to the right side of the goal.
Muelheims increased the Whitworth lead in the 21st minute with his conference-leading seventh goal of the season, scoring on a long shot from outside the 18-yard box with an assist from David Starkovich.
Whitworth played strong defense as Timmy Costa needed to collect only save in the match. The Pirates have now posted a shutout in four of their six victories this season.
Whitworth held a 12-7 advantage in shot attempts, including a 5-1 edge in shots on goal. The Wildcats were held without a shot attempt in the first half.
Linfield goalkeeper Jorge Rodriguez made three saves.
The high-intensity match featured a total of 29 fouls, with 17 committed by the Pirates and 12 by the Wildcats. Whitworth was issued five yellow cards while Linfield received three yellow cards.
Whitworth returns home to open the Northwest Conference home schedule against Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran next Saturday and Sunday. Both matches are set to begin at 2:30 p.m.
