Men's Golf Leads After Round One Of Fall Classic
RIDGEFIELD, Wash. – The men's golf team leads the pack by one stroke after the first round of the Northwest Conference Fall Classic at Tri-Mountain Golf Course.
The men have a 13-over par score of 301 on the par-72 course at the end of Saturday's first round. Puget Sound is second with a score of 302, while Pacific Lutheran is in third with a score of 309.
Junior Stephen Plopper is tied for second with UPS' Derek Wilson, as they both finished the day with a par-72 score. PLU's Dustin Hegge finished one-under par to lead after round one. Junior Jesse Salzwedel is part of a three-way tie for third place, finishing one-over par at 73. Freshman Oliver Rudnicki shot 76 in the opening round and is tied for ninth place, while freshmen Samson Martinez and Lyle Rudnicki finished round one with score of 80 and are part of seven golfers tied for 18th place.
The men will have another shotgun start on Sunday at 8:30 am at the Tri-Mountain Golf Course in Ridgefield.
