NWC Student-Athletes of the Week
Week of October 7-13
Whitworth had two goalkeepers honored by the Northwest Conference
as Student-Athletes of the Week. Senior Kyle Novak earned the
defensive Student-Athlete of the Week for men’s soccer while
freshman Andrea Stump earned the defensive Student-Athlete of the
Week for women’s soccer.
Men’s Soccer
Kyle Novak, GK

Senior Kyle Novak earned the men’s soccer
Student-Athlete of the Week for defense honor for the third time
this season. Novak has a goals against average of 0.15.
Novak’s recorded his league-leading 11th shutouts over the
weekend as the Pirates went 1-0-1.
Women’s Soccer
Andrea Stump, GK

Freshman Andrea Stump earned her second defensive
Student-Athlete of the Week honor this season. Stump had 13 saves
in two matches, including a shutout against Pacific Lutheran this
weekend. She has a goals against average of 0.97, which ranks her
among the top five in the conference and recorded her
league-leading sixth shutout in the win over PLU over the
weekend.
