NWC Student-Athlete of the Week

Whitworth had a student-athlete honored by the Northwest Conference as Student-Athlete of the Week. Junior Aaron Vaccaro earned the Student-Athlete of the Week for men’s swimming.

Junior Aaron Vaccaro helped the Pirates to two winning relays over the weekend, the 400-meter freestyle relay against Puget Sound and the 200-meter freestyle relay against Pacific Lutheran. He also finished first in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 54.80 in the duel with Puget Sound, helping Whitworth to a 118-87 victory. Vaccaro added two first-place finishes in the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter backstroke in Whitworth’s 151-54 win over Pacific Lutheran.
