September Bruchi’s/Whitworth Athletes of the
Month
Senior golfer Emily Guthrie and senior men’s soccer
goalkeeper Kyle Novak have been selected by the Whitworth sports
information staff as the Bruchi’s Athletes of the Month based
on their performances during the month of September.
Emily Guthrie, Sr.
Women’s Golf
Emily finished first place in the player standings in two
of the team’s first three competitions, and she finished in
second place in the third competition. She averaged 76.2
strokes in six rounds of play.
Kyle Novak, GK, Sr.
Men’s Soccer
Kyle recorded eight shutouts in nine and a half matches
and had a 0.20 goals against average during the month of September.
His league-leading shutout record helped the men’s soccer
team to a 7-0-2 record for the month.
