Getting To Know Anders Nostdahl
Name: Anders
Nostdahl
Nickname: “Ders”
Year: Junior
Sport: Soccer
Position: Midfielder
Favorite part of campus: Soccer Game
Field
Why you chose Whitworth: I came here to play soccer, but I
had no idea how great the academic side of Whitworth was.
Pre-game ritual/superstitions: Before every
game I write the initials of my family in the grass. Nothing
special, but it just gives me some motivation before a game.
What’s something people would be surprised to find
out about you? I am an identical twin. My brother goes to
Pacific University, so we kind of have an intense rivalry.
What would you name the autobiography of your life? The
Real Hobbit
Favorite band/type of music: I listen to a lot of rap and
dub step. But I’ll listen to anything except country. I come
from an area that everyone listens to country. I’m not a
fan.
What book can you read over and over again? Lord of the
Rings Trilogy
What is one thing that you want to do before you die?
Follow Manchester United around in Europe for a season and watch
every game.
Spend or Save (money): I try to save, but it’s just really hard.
Do you have a collection of anything? I have a
quarter collection. It was something I did when I was younger with
my grandparents.
Name the last movie you watched: The new James
Bond film “Sky Fall.” All I can say is I wish I was
him.
What’s a saying that you say a lot?
“Prove it.”
Comedy or Romance: Both.
Favorite board game: Monopoly. It’s a classic. Though, I don’t know if I’ve ever won a game.
What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten? Rattlesnake. It was very slimy.
Tea or Coffee: I drink tea. I’m not the tallest guy, and with the rumor that coffee/caffeine makes you shrink… I’ll stay away from that stuff.
If they made a movie of your life, who would you want to play you? Tom Cruise. Us little guys gotta stay together.
Favorite TV show/movie: Suits and Blue Collar.
What word do you have trouble saying? Aluminum. I struggle with the “n.” I substitute it with an “m.”
