SPOKANE, Wash. – Arizona, Florida and California are the warm-weather spring break destinations for several Whitworth teams.
The Pirate tennis teams are in Orlando, Florida this week, while the women’s golf team has headed to Palm Springs, California. The men’s golf team and the softball team are in Arizona.
Results of all of the contests will be posted as they become available, but please understand that remote locations and lack of an official host at many of the events may mean that the results are delayed or there may be fewer details than normal.
The women’s tennis team takes a 7-2 record into four non-conference matches against NCAA Division III opponents. The men’s tennis team is 6-4 and the Pirates will play two DIII matches, one NCAA Division II match and one at an NAIA opponent.
The softball team will play six games on March 21-23 at the Tucson Invitational in Arizona. The Pirates (8-14) take a five game winning streak to Tucson.
The men’s golf team is also in Arizona. The Pirates will play a double-double on Tuesday against Pima CC and Doane College, then will play the University of Arizona JV team on Wednesday.
The women’s golf team will play a tournament in Cathedral City, California, hosted by Augustana (SD) on Thursday and Friday.
