Cody Reeves enters his second year as the infield coach at Whitworth. A Spokane native and graduate of Lakeside High School, Reeves played his college baseball at the Community Colleges of Spokane and later at Western Oregon University.
In 2012 Reeves led the Pirate infield to a school record .966 fielding percentage. Reeves' group of infielders were led by First Team All-Northwest Conference Shortstop Nick Motsinger. "Revo brings energy to practices and games that fuels our entire team. His energy and passion are contagious and we will contend for championships because of what he brings on a daily basis," says head coach Dan Ramsay. Cody also works with Pirate hitters.
In 2008 at CC of Spokane, Reeves hit .423 and collected 71 hits while playing infield, both are Sasquatch records. Cody spent the summer of 2007 and 2008 playing in the WCCBL for the Spokane Riverhawks. In 2009 Reeves helped lead Western Oregon to the 2009 Division II West Regional. He was named All-GNAC Honorable Mention Infielder during his senior campaign.
Upon finishing his playing career Reeves coached the Salem (Ore.) Post 9 Highwaymen and helped lead them to a third place finish at the 2010 Oregon State Championships. Reeves spent the fall of 2010 as a graduate assistant at Western Oregon University and worked directly under head coach Jeremiah Robbins and infield coach Kellen Walker. Reeves spent the summer of 2011 as the head coach of the Salem Highwaymen and the summer of 2012 as the head coach of the Spokane Warehouse Honkers.
