Abby Pavelko

Abby Pavelko, a junior from Wixom, Michigan, is Whitworth's Female Athlete of the Month for her efforts during the Pirates' three dual meets in the month of January.

She led the Whitworth women in total indivual event victories with five.  Even more impressive, all five of the wins came in five separate events.  She currently leads the NWC in the 400-yard individual medley and is among the leaders in three other events. 

Pavelko heads into the 2012 Northwest Conference Championships as the defending champion of the 400-yard I.M. and the 1,650-yard freestyle.
